McElhanney Consulting Services Ltd. has acquired Edmonton-based EIDOS Consultants Incorporated specializing in landscape architecture, urban design and environmental planning. EIDOS has had a strong partnership with McElhanney in the past on many transportation and urban projects.
The acquisition of EIDOS expands McElhanney’s landscape architecture and planning team, adding to their established reputation and service offerings in numerous market sectors across Western Canada and establishing them as one of the largest providers of landscape architecture services in the Prairies.
“Adding EIDOS’s skill set to McElhanney’s team means we have increased our arsenal of service offerings and expertise in terms of landscape architecture and urban and environmental planning,” says McElhanney Consulting Services Ltd.’s President and CEO, Allan Russell. “This acquisition is mutually beneficial: McElhanney can provide expanded expertise to established clients as well as new clients and grow these offerings in the Prairies, and EIDOS now has a team of seasoned engineers and planners to support their clients’ needs in a deeper way.”
EIDOS now operates under the McElhanney name from the company’s office in Edmonton and Calgary, strengthening McElhanney’s service offerings across a multitude of sectors and growing our landscape architecture, and urban and environmental planning offerings in the development industry.
“Joining the McElhanney team means that our clients and partners can now expect the same dedication, expertise and service we’ve provided to the public and private sector for the last 30 years, but with the added benefit of an increased depth of resources to meet their needs,” said EIDOS’s Principal, Robert Gibbs.
