Our employees are empowered to make continuous improvements and proactively care for the safety of themselves and others.

Drug and Alcohol Testing

Safety requirements are becoming more stringent on Oil and Gas sites in Western Canada. Many companies now mandate pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and periodic testing many be required.

What this means for you
McElhanney requires all employees working in safety sensitive positions to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test. Pre-employment testing and pre-site access testing is quickly becoming the norm for most Oil and Gas companies in Western Canada.

Driver Information

Most surveying jobs in Western Canada’s Oil and Gas industry will require a driver’s license and a perfect or near-perfect driving record. The proven ability to drive a vehicle safely and responsibly is a pre-employment condition.

What this means for you
McElhanney will require proof of your driving history to ensure the safety of you and your colleagues. Expect to be asked about your driving history and license status at the time of your interview. A poor driving record could limit your career opportunities.
