Geomatics/Survey Techs collect survey data and perform reductions and calculations on raw survey returns to generate files suitable for drafting. Once the drafted plans are complete, the Geomatics Technician reviews them for accuracy. This position will generally be a combination of field and

Draftspersons/CAD Techs provide accurate and timely drawings on Engineering and Survey projects; these could include roads and highways, civil structures, municipal and land development plans, well sites, pipelines, crossing plans, mines and construction projects, using specialized software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D from original field notes.
General Requirements: CAD/Drafting Diploma, or Geomatics Diploma
EITs provide design and drawing preparation for civil-related projects, such as municipal, transportation, structural and/or geotechnical, in a timely and cost effective manner.
General Requirements: Civil Engineering Degree and registration as EIT
Engineering Technologists assist in the accurate, cost effective and timely completion of engineering designs, drawings and tests, using specialized engineering design software such as Civil 3D and AutoCAD, for municipal, transportation, structural and/or geotechnical-related projects.
General Requirements: Civil Engineering Technology Diploma
The Party Chief leads a survey crew to complete field surveys and provide accurate, clear, and concise field notes, calculations and drawings.
