Courses on the theories of image processing, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and cartography are helpful for you to have a clear understanding of computer mapping technology. Technicians can benefit by learning how to use GIS and image processing systems quickly and more efficiently. Managers can benefit by being able to define project requirements clearly and assess the performance of staff and external consultants.
