Prince George
Commonly known as BC's Northern Capital, Prince George has a history dating to the early 1800s, when it was established as the Fort George trading post. Although still a small city with a population under 75,000, Prince George has all the amenities of a large city, at a much more affordable price. Winter sports abound, with cross country and downhill skiing, sledding and hockey. Summer is equally refreshing, with rock climbing, hiking and biking all within easy reach. Prince George counts the University of British Columbia , Two Rivers Art Gallery and the Prince George Playhouse among its cultural offerings. Shopping is easy, with locally owned shops as well as larger retailers, such as Costco and Canadian Tire.
Terrace
Named for glacial sediment deposits that have produced terraces around the city, Terrace is home to the Tsimshian Nation, with a vibrant First Nations history and culture thriving within the city. It is a small town with big opportunities. Professionals interested in expanding their careers, people who want more quality time outdoors and families looking to put living back into their lifestyles will find what they're looking for in Terrace. The Terrace Economic Development Authority has recently produced a video highlighting the benefits of this one-of-a-kind community.
