Tracking and management of resource inventory and maintenance of the 65 km transmission right-of-way between Kitimat and Kemano required a more reliable tool to ensure safe, consistent and reliable power flow. McElhanney stepped in to manage the various multiple components using a computerized program developed in house to manage routine crossing structure and brush level maintenance, as well as providing Terms of Reference and Environmental Management Plans to contractors for roads, bridges, and brushing crews. McElhanney supervised all field projects, including environmental monitoring, crossing structure design and construction.
