Gitxsan Health Centre Building Field Testing and Review

Client: Yellowridge Construction Ltd.

The Gitxsan Health Society in Kispiox required a new building to provide space for medical and dental services as well as meetings. The $1.8 million project comprised wood and structural steel framing with a poured concrete foundation.

McElhanney’s project team provided foundation sub-grade reviews on the building site, supervised engineered fill placement, conducted field and lab testing, conducted concrete field testing on structural concrete in accordance with ACI standards and compaction testing on interior backfill and base gravel and conducted a concrete mix design review.
