Drainage and Water Infrastructure Spatial Maintenance

Client: The City of Surrey

The City of Surrey Engineering Department had many drainage plans and water infrastructure plans (As-Built drawings) in paper format. Their other mapping data was in GIS format. Due to the rapid growth in the City of Surrey, there was an untenable backlog of plans that needed to be inputted into their EIIS application.

A McElhanney team of of CAD/GIS technicians interpreted their drainage plans and water infrastructure plans and inputted this information into the City's EIIS application using customized Microstation software. In addition to drainage and water infrastructure, we also converted Works Yard corrections and Water Journal corrections.
