In 1947, an oil strike at Leduc Well #1 played a pivotal role in Alberta's history and changed the province forever. Edmonton, Alberta's capital, served as an important base for the exploration and discovery of oil wells in the area then. Up to this day, the city continues to play a significant role in the oil and gas industry of Alberta.
In 1975, McElhanney opened its Edmonton office to answer the area's need for surveying services specialized in the oil and gas industry. As a major transportation hub, the city of Edmonton allows us to offer our services to a large geographic area. With more than 65 employees, we offer surveying and mapping services to our clients who are located throughout central and northern Alberta. McElhanney's Geographic Information Systems department is also located in this office.
McElhanney and its staff participate in various sports and fundraising activities in the community. We are actively involved in advisory committees and career planning programs for local educational institutions.
We are currently looking for professional land surveyors, project managers, party chiefs and other surveying staff to work in our friendly and community-oriented environment.
