In recognition of the contributions of women across McElhanney, this scholarship is designed to inspire and support the next generation of women pursuing careers in surveying, geomatics, mapping, geospatial, and fieldwork. We are committed to increasing representation within these professions and creating opportunities for women to build rewarding careers in an industry that shapes communities and infrastructure.
The ideal candidate identifies as a woman and has demonstrated strong leadership within their community, is currently enrolled in an accredited baccalaureate or graduate program in geomatics or Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing-related programs, and has a passion for a career in a geomatics or geospatial discipline that applies to McElhanney.
We welcome applications from students who identify as women of all backgrounds, including but not limited to Indigenous Peoples, racialized groups, persons with disabilities, members of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, and other equity-deserving groups.
The selected recipient, currently enrolled in an education program, will receive up to $5,000 to help cover tuition, textbooks, supplies, and living expenses (including on-campus housing), along with a direct internship opportunity.
