The McElhanney ‘M-POWER’ Scholarship Program is intended to empower, support, and recognize young professionals of all backgrounds in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). Our mission is to identify talented individuals passionate about joining a workplace with a team of problem solvers, collaborators, creative thinkers, and community leaders.

The McElhanney Scholarship program recognizes students and professionals in six different categories which align with our purpose, core values, and corporate strategic plan.

The scholarships we offer are :

Our scholarship recipients are also awarded a co-op or internship experience, which provides you with the opportunity to discover where you want to take your career through hands-on experience in the field and / or office. We connect you with industry-leading mentors and a cohort of top-tier students from across Canada. We’ll help you reach your goals by providing you with the skills and training you need to solve real world problems.

Jayden Roch

Recipient of the McElhanney Community Leadership Scholarship, for her dedication to “M”-Power and coaching young volleyball athletes in her community.

Kennedy Rolston

Recipient of the McElhanney Indigenous Peoples Scholarship, for her work in and goal to help close the gap on the infrastructure and resources available to Indigenous people.

Taylor Gladue

Recipient of the McElhanney Indigenous Peoples Scholarship, for their passion for their career development.

Wayne McKay

Recipient of the McElhanney Indigenous Peoples Scholarship, for their continued determination to go out and explore to develop their skillset and bring it back to contribute building their local community.

Recipient of the McElhanney Pride Scholarship, for their unwavering commitment and actions to oppose 2SLGBTQIA+ discrimination.

Nicole Tan

Recipient of the McElhanney Sustainability & Climate Change Scholarship, for running a science camp for children and hosting a workshop for adults about waste management systems during the pandemic.

Recipient of the McElhanney Technical Excellence & Innovation Scholarship, for his commitment to technical excellence and passion for geomatics and GIS.
