I am a Civil Engineering Technology graduate, currently working full-time as a CAD Operator at McElhanney. I chose McElhanney for its strong mentorship and collaborative culture. During my time here, I’ve grown professionally through various learning opportunities like lunch-and-learns and training videos. I especially appreciate the warm and inclusive culture – team BBQs, mini-golf, and other social eventmake every week enjoyable. The support and encouragement from colleagues have helped me develop technical skills and confidence in my role. For anyone considering a future here, I highly recommend McElhanney as a place to learn, grow, and truly belong.

I’m enrolled in the Bachelor of Civil Engineering program at BCIT, and this was my second co-op experience with McElhanney. The reason that I came back for the second time is the company culture and the respect among team members. As a summer student, I feel included in my team and my office. I got the opportunity to work with different project managers, engineers, and inspectors, and learned a lot from each individual.

I chose McElhanney because it’s one of the best consulting firms. They’re really connected with the values and culture that I learned from the information sessions that I attended at Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). What I love the most about working here is the variety of projects that they work on and the people who support your career growth. They’ll set you up for success, and you’ll be guided. If you’re thinking of starting your career here at McElhanney, I’d say do it! You’ll learn a lot, and you’ll have fun along the way.

I absolutely loved interning at McElhanney! I was initially drawn to its culture of safety and inclusion, and my experience exceeded my expectations.
