Developed in the 1950s, the District of Kitimat is the result of mining company Alcan’s investment in hydroelectric facilities to support aluminum smelting in the area. Located in the northern British Columbia wilderness, the area’s forests and mountains offer unlimited opportunities for adventure, from summer hiking to cross country skiing. The Kitimat River and nearby coastline are also ideal for watersports.
Our local team works closely with our other Western Canadian branches to offer a wide range of services, including:
- Civil engineering
- Legal and engineering surveys
- GIS and geomatics
- Materials testing
- Environment Management
We are a trusted and reliable business partner and have a long history with major industrial players in the Terrace-Kitimat Valley.
