Warman & Martensville Interchanges

2016-2018 | Regina, SK

The Warman & Martensville Interchanges, located on Highway 12 at Martensville and Highway 11 at Warman, improve safety for two of the fastest growing communities in Saskatchewan. Under the design-build partnership with the Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure, the Peter Kiewit Infrastructure Co.-led consortium was responsible for the design and construction of the overpasses.  In addition to allowing for innovative ways of staging construction, the benefits of a design-build model included greater schedule and cost certainty for the Ministry.

They opened to traffic in the fall of 2018, nearly one year ahead of schedule.

With approximately 14,000 vehicles per day on Highway 12, the new Martensville Interchange disperses traffic along Main Street and Centennial Drive in Martensville, reducing congestion and providing safer access to current and future developments. In Warman, the Highway 11/305 overpass offers a safe route in and out of the community.

McElhanney was retained by Peter Kiewit Infrastructure Co. to provide the following services: DB Pursuit documents and design; roadway design; drainage design; utility coordination; integration of bridges, lighting, signing; construction services; and surveying and mapping project wide.
