Dayforce Improved Candidate Experience Guide – Effective July 28, 2025

Information in this guide is applicable to External Applicants only.

What’s New?

  • No Account Needed to Apply: External candidates (non-employees and former employees) can now apply for jobs without creating a Dayforce account.
  • Simplified Application Process: Faster, mobile-friendly, and more accessible.
  • Modern Look & Feel: Enhanced design and usability across devices.

Applying Without an Account

You Can:

  • Apply to jobs directly without logging in.
  • Submit your resume, cover letter, answer pre-screening questions, and provide other relevant information for each job.
  • Receive a unique reference number for each application to track your application in the future.

Limitations:

  • You cannot save your application as a draft.
  • You cannot view or track submitted applications later.
  • You cannot be notified of job search alerts.
  • If you create an account later, previous applications will not be visible.
  • You must re-upload your resume and documents for each new application.

Important Note: Candidates with an existing account can also apply without logging into their account. In such cases, all the above will apply including the limitations.

Creating an Account (Recommended)

Benefits of Having an Account:

  • Save and track job applications.
  • Update your resume and personal information at any time.
  • Set up job alerts, save job searches, view recommended jobs based on your profile information.
  • View application statuses (e.g., Applied, New, In Progress, Declined).
  • Manage your account (change password, set up Multi-factor authentication).

Important Notes for Previously Registered External Applicants and Former Employees:

  • If you had an account on the previous portal, you must re-register to migrate your profile information to the new portal.
  • If you apply without logging in, the system will still recognize your registered personal email and prevent duplicate applications to previously applied jobs.
  • If you submitted an application without logging in despite having an account, you will not be able to view your submitted application in your account

Technical Tips

  • Use a modern browser and set up relevant cookies for the best experience.
  • Use a personal email address that you regularly access. This email will be used to receive important updates such as password reset codes.
  • When registering your account, ensure you securely store your chosen security questions and answers as they will be needed if you were trying to recover access to your account.
  • Ensure your resume is in PDF (preferred) or Word format.
  • If applying without an account, save your reference number for future inquiries.
  • Account Access Issues: If you are locked out of your Dayforce account due to incorrect login attempts or forgotten credentials, you must contact Dayforce Customer Support directly for assistance. You will also receive an automatic email notification to your registered email address with the same instruction.
