McElhanney EIT and Project Win Engineering Awards in Saskatchewan

A McElhanney young professional and a project received awards at the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies – Saskatchewan (ACEC-SK) 2019 Awards of Distinction reception on November 26th in Saskatoon.

Congratulations to Alyson Stout for receiving the 2019 ACEC-SK Young Professional of the Year award, given to an individual in the first 10 years of their career who has demonstrated excellence in the consulting engineering industry and leadership in their community. Alyson is an EIT based in our Regina office. She joined McElhanney in 2016 and throughout her career has been actively involved in many engineering-related community activities including those of ACEC-SK, ACEC, and McElhanney’s internal YP Committee. Alyson is McElhanney’s second ACEC-SK YP of the Year since 2017 and McElhanney’s sixth provincial ACEC YP winner company wide.

At the same event, a McElhanney project won an ACEC-SK Brian Eckel award. The Badlands Parkway in the East Block of Grasslands National Park, where visitors of varied mobility levels can access and appreciate the vast ecosystem of the prairies, won an award of merit in the environmental category. McElhanney was Prime Consultant for this Parks Canada project, providing transportation engineering, landscape architecture and planning, geotechnical engineering, tendering services, construction inspection, surveying, aerial LiDAR, and remotely piloted aircraft systems to design a solution centered around the concept of minimalist design.  Learn more about the project in our Portfolio.

Congratulations to everyone involved on both wins!
