McElhanney was tasked with designing the Anderson Creek fishway to allow salmon to bypass a bridge apron that has deteriorated into a 3m concrete weir.
McElhanney was retained to design a brand new road for the Township of Langley, connecting the intersection of Labonte Ave / 216th Street with the intersection of Glover Road / Trinity Western University.
McElhanney is providing a wide array of services for this project including structural, civil, and hydrological engineering, environmental, visualization, and arborist services. McElhanney developed the images to help illustrate the project concept.
Holberg, BC – The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure requested McElhanney to perform a safety assessment of the existing bridge site, detailed design of the temporary detour Acrow bridge substructure and the conceptual and detailed design of the replacement bridge, under an As and When Engineering Services Contract. M
The Parks Canada Campground manual forms the foundation for developmental standard and design guides for existing and new campgrounds. With the original manual created in 1972 and last updated in 1992, Parks Canada needed a new edition for modern visitors. McElhanney was given the opportunity to update and develop the manual to guide the renewal of campgrounds and associated facilities throughout Canada’s national parks.
2009 | Remote Northern BC – The Government of BC hired McElhanney to head into the deep backcountry of the Skeena-Stikine and Kitimat regions. Our job was to identify critical bear habitat, along with important wintertime feeding areas for local moose populations and record our discoveries through mapping.
